Drombeg Stone Circle in Glandore, County Cork - Ireland
Drombeg Stone Circle can be seen from the town of Glandore where we stopped for lunch today. It is believed that the stone circles are related to the megalithic tombs and served as prehistoric temples going back to early Bronze Age times. John sat on one of the stones and played several songs before we loaded up on the bus to head to Glandore. The first two pictures show the stone circloe from two different perspectives. The third picture shows the footprint where a "home" used to be right next to the stone circle. There was also an interesting cooking pit nearby.
