On the way back to the town of Dingle, the guy in this picture stopped me in my tracks and told me he wanted to marry me. When I explained I was with my husband and he wouldn't like that, he started dancing and singing a song about being in love with a woman with "dark brown eyes." It's the first time dad really smiled from ear to ear! It turned out that he was "on liberty" celebrating the victory of County Kerry winning the Irish equivalent of the "superbowl" the day before!
Here are a few pictures of Dingle to give you a feel for the town... It was a fun town to wander and explore. The people are warm and approachable and often very funny! The streets are narrow and traffic is relatively light (but quite fast!).
