We arrived in Skibbereen on the first evening of the tour (Wednesday, 09/16/2009). We will have stayed here for three nights before we move on to our next location in the far west of Ireland. The hotel had great food and a very comfortable room and we especially enjoyed the river beside it. We say a Grey Heron and several Mallards... They use the old bridge for outside seating in the evenings, though we didn't eat out there.
My MTC companion was from county Cork. Brendan Stapleton. He was one of 13 kids or something like that. It'd be weird and cool if you bumped into him somewhere!
